AND NOW...PATTI PAGE

Why not.....it's cold, pretty, and snowflakes everywhere today! We may as well enjoy it with our willy warmers.

  2. Does overnight, much needed, light rain count? Patti Page, the blandest voice in show biz! You are a vintage soul, mistress.

    1. It's eerie though, isn't it? It looks like a sepulchral arm, clothed in a tattered shawl, with bony fingers pointing at who knows what. *Shiver*

    2. reminds me of the "ghost of christmas future" in "a christmas carol"...the skeleton arm pointing the way, not speaking...

  8. Nice. These retro/vintage classics are awesome! I'm partial to the Andrews Sisters and their rendition of Winter Wonderland and Sleigh Ride. Thanks for this neat find.

For some reason, listening to this Fifties music on a cold day makes me want to utilize the Don Draper method of Willy Warming: Get wasted on some Old Fashioneds and hump somebody!

  9. Pretty snowflakes?

Their aesthetic worth decreases dramatically as long as it remains in the teens. I hate it when it's so cold my nasal hairs turn into pine cones.

  10. My chiropractor got back form visiting family in Boston. He said it had been "magical" and then started his story off with "We had freezing rain the day before Christmas...." "Yeah." I said. "it sounds magical."

    Such a California snob.

  13. Classic. And, from all accounts, a classy lady. Great way to spend the snow day... Listen, drink, wank, sleep. Repeat.

  14. Sweet memories. I had a Patti Page cut-out dolls set when I was about 4. I have no idea who gave it to me and it didn't last long once my father saw me playing with it. (My mother didn't think it was appropriate either.)
